0 STORE SHEEP IN DEMAND. } (By Telegraph.—rress Association.) 1 CIIKISTCHURCH, Wednesday. Entries were smaller at to-day's Adding' > ton market. Store sheep and tat wethers maintained prices, fat ewes and fat lambs J were a little easier, and fat cattle were > also cheaper. ) Store Sheep.—There was a raised yarding with few lines of forward wethers. Keeellt 5 rates were maintained. Ordinary four aud ) six-tooth halfbied ewes, to 22/0; good sound-mouth halfbrcd, to 19/4; sound and ) failing mouth, 13/4 to 15/; forward halt- > bred wethers, 20/6 to 21/9; ordinary half--1 bred, 15/ to 17/3; medium three-quarter-bred ewe iambs, to IU/U; ordinary ewe lambs, to 16/9; ordinary store lambs, L3/S to 15/5. Fat Lambs.—An entry of 1800 was penned. Values were down by (id to 1/ , per head on the last sale, which, however, was very keen. One of the exporters operated freely. Best lambs, to 25/10; prime medium weights, 21/(5 to 24/1; light, 16/ to 21/. Kat Sheep.—An entry of 4100 was - penned, a good deal of light stuff being included. It was an uneven sale, but . there was , a weaker tendency, except tori heavy halfbied wethers. Extra prime! heavy wethers, to 31/7; prime heavy, 20/<3 to 27/6; prime medium-weight. 22/6 to I 25/; ordinary quality, 18/ to 22/; light wethers, 15/ to 17/6; extra prime heavy ewes, to 23/10; prime heavy, 22/ to 23/; prime medium-weight, 19/ to 21/9; ordinary quality, 16/ to 18/6; light, 12/ to 15/6. Fat Cattle.—A total of 440 was penned, 55 less than last week. There ivas a small showing ot really good beef, which sold freely, but the market was easier for other' sorts, with passings more frequent. Best beef made to 22/6 per 1001b; prime, ', 19/ to 21/; heavy, 16/ to 18/; rough to secondary quality, 11/ to 14/6; extra prime heavy steers, to £11 2/6; prime heavy, £7 to £8 15/; medium-weight prime, £6j to £7 5/j ordinary quality, £4 to £5 5/; I light steers, to £3 15/; extra prime heifers, to £9 12/6; prime. £4 10/ -to £7; medium, £2 10/ to £4; light, to £2 5/; extra prime cows, to £7 17/G; prime, £3 10/ to £5; medium, £2 5/ to £3 5/: aged and inferior, to £2 2/6. , Store Cattle.—Nα grown steers were entered, the entry comprising for the most part inferior cows. Good yearling steers Bold at £2 2/. Fat Pigs.—There was a moderate entry, and a good demand. Choppers, £2 to £4 11/; baconers, 45/6 to £3 12/6; average price per lb. 4%d to sd; porkers, 22/ to 37/6; average price-per lb, 4V2d to 5%d. Store Pigs.—A moderate class entry and a good sale, particularly for forward stores.
