NEW OFFICERS.
HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY. (By Telegraph.—Own Corresponacnt.) WHANGAREI, Wednesday. The annual meeting of the Whangarci Horticultural Society was held last evening. The report showed that the spring" and summer shows had been marred to some extent by weather, but that the two days' autumn exhibition in. the Town Hall had been an outstanding success. The balance-sheet disclosed a credit of £12 3/3. Officers for the ensuing year were elected as follows:—President, Mr. C. V. Stringer; vice-president, Mr. W. A. Given; secretary, MivE. C. M. Ilarington; treasurer, no appointment; committee, Mrs. Finch, Miss Drummond, Messrs. D. Blumhardt, W. Reynolds, R. Timewell, James F. Brown, D. McDonald and C. Bevins.
