TRAFFIC IN THE DOMAIN.
I see there Is a proposal to make another traffic drive through the Auckland Domain. I protest strongly against such as a piece of vandalism; it would destroy the sylvan beauty of the Domain. Many years ago I gave a piece of virgin bush to the Whangarei Borough Council with a strong proviso that no road should ever be made through it and that no exotic trees or shrubs should be planted in it. The result is that the bush is just as beautiful to-day as it was forty years ago. H. DOBBIE.
