HARBOUR BOARD LOANS.
CONVERSION CONSIDERED
At the meeting- of the Auckland TT.-ir- ! bonr Board yesterday .Mr. R. T. Beid asked if anything was being done regarding conversion of the board's loans. He had noticed other local bodies had completed conversion, and he thought that even though it might mean only a little saving to the Harbour Board, such might assist in relieving unemployment.
The chairman, Mr. T. B. Clay, said the matter was under consideration. He had discussed the question two or three times with the board's treasurer, but it was one of great magnitude and occupied a tremendous lot of time.
