RUAHINE HOVE-TO.

ANTONIO DELAYED

Rough south-easterly weather outside the gulf has caused delay in the arrival of the liner Ruahine, which hove-to last night, and the Antonio, which has phosphates aboard. The liner Monowai wa« delayed by rain in the port yesterday, and left this afternoon. Ruahine has reported .by radio -that she now expect*? to arrive from London at the pilot ground at 11 p.m. to-day, and will berth about 7.30 a.m. to-mor-row at the Central wharf. She was hove-to about SO miles east of Cuvier light at 0 o'clock last night, owing to a south-east wind of gale force. (N.Z.S.) Antonio, originally due from Ocean Inland at noon to-day, reports having struck the severe weather outside, and is not now expected until to-morrow morning. She has a cargo of phosphates for discharge at the King's wharf. (8.P.C.) Monowai was delayed iii loading yesterday, and instead of leaving at 10 p.m., was postponed until 1 p.m. to-day, when she was scheduled to sail for Wellington. She leaves that port on Friday afternoon for Sydney direct. (U.S.S.) Orari, unloading Liverpool cargo a.t the Queen',* wharf, is scheduled t-.i sail on Saturday afternoon for Wellington to continue discharge. (N.Z.S.) Melbourne Maru has been loading scrap metal at the King's wharf, and |is now announced to sail to-morrow afternoon for Japan, via Sydney and Brisbane. (F.C.A.) Makura has been further delayed in Wellington, and is now announced to sail at noon on Friday for San Francisco, via. Papeete and Karotonga, in place of jtho Maunganui. (U.S.S.) Monterey left Suva yesterday, and is due at Auckland on Friday morning. She is scheduled to sail at 5 p.m. the same day for Sydney and Melbourne in continuation of her trip from Los Angeles. fH. and M.) H.M.s. Laburnum left at 6 o'clock this morning for Fago Pago, the first port of call in her winter eruise itinerary. H.M.s. Dunedin undocked shortly before noon to-day, and proceeded to the Hauraki Gulf for a test. She returns j to port this evening, and sails on Friday j for the Western Pacific Islands. H.M.s. Diomede is to dock at 8 a.m. to-morrow for refit preparatory to undertaking her annual cruise, in. the Pacific Islands.
