WESTERN RECLAMATION.
HARBOUK BOARD DECISION. Requests that arrangements for further work to be put in hand on completion of the work of roading the western reclamation, and its decision regarding relief employment, were made in a letter from the officer in charge of the Labour Department, Auckland, to the Auckland Harbour Board, at the meeting of the latter body yesterday afternoon. The chairman, Mr. T. B. Clay, said that to do further work as suggested, a loan would have to be raised. However, ho did not anticipate any difficulty on that score. On his motion the matter was referred to the board in committee.
