CHARITY DANCE.
Officers and men of the cruiser H.M.s. Diomede, commanded by Captain Cosmo Graham, have arranged for a charity dance to be held in the Harbour Board's large shed at Calliope Dock this evening. Funds will be devoted to the dependents of one of the ship's company, who died a short time ago. For the convenience of the Auckland public, naval launches will be run from the Admiralty steps, next to Queen's wharf, from 7.30 p.m. onwards. j
