CARD EVENING.
MATJNGAKIEKIE GOLF CLUB. Members of the Maungakiekie Golf Club held a bridge and man jong party in the new clubhouse last evening. The rooms were beautifully decorated with great bowls of winter hydrangeas, making an attractive setting for the large number of players present. Mr. J. M. Elliffe, the president of the club, in welcoming members and visitors, said that it was the intention of the club to hold a number of social evenings throughout the winter. The committee responsible for the arrangements was: Miss A. Grove, Miss Betty Abbott, Miss E. Schnauer, Miss M. Hazlett, Messrs. J. Rankin, L. Schnauer, K. Heywood, and B. Gerrard.
