Stating that the company wished to erect another cold storage building on their leasehold at King's wharf approach, a letter was received by the Auckland Harbour Board, at its meeting yesterday afternoon, from the Auckand Farmers' Freezing Company, asking the board, in view of the term of the leases (34 years), if it would agree to accept surrender of the existing leases and issue fresh leases for a term of 21 years, with right of renewal for three further terms of 21 years each, making 84 years in all, the rent to be fixed by valuation at the end of each 21-year period. The matter was referred to the finance committee.
