LEAGUE FOOTBALL.
MONDAY'S MATCH. CITY PLAYS DEVONFORT. On Monday afternoon one of the matches of the Auckland Rugby League's senior club championship will be played at Carlaw Park. The game is that between City Rovers and Devonport United, two teams which have had mixed success in the opening games of the competition, and are reinforcing their ranks with a view to trying to recover lost ground. They both play fast, open football, and it is anticipated that this match will be very keenly contested.
