INVESTMENT STOCKS AND SHARES. COMPARISONS OF RECENT TRANSACTIONS. TO TUESDAY, MAY 29, 1934. • The following table furnishes a guide to investors. It shows the ti end of the market over twelve months for a comprehensive list of securities, a the same time indicating the latest movements, namely, from a week ago to the date of compilation. The rate of interest obtainable to present tay purchasers is also presented, the calculations based on the latest di\ ldeiu s. Since last review the market tone has continued very firm and with an upward trend. In a number of cases, notably in insurances, new high e\e s have been reached. It will be noted from the figures quoted below that most stocks have shown an appreciable advance over the last twelve months, and as dividends rgenerally speaking, not been raised, the interest return to present purchasers correspondingly reduced.
