ROBINSON ICE CREAM.
MORE PROFIT LAST YEAR,
SAME DIVIDEND, 0 PER CENT
The not profit of Robinson Ice Cream Company, Limited, for the year ended April 30 was £1905. as against £841 for the previous year. The profit was arrived at after the provision of £3415 for depreciation and the setting apart of £105 for income tax. Gross profit was £833 higher at £8240. The directors again recommend a dividend of 6 per cent. This / will require £2100, or £255 more than the net protit, and will necessitate a call upon reserve. This stand? in the current balance-sheet at £3468, a transfer of £1600 to profit and loss appropriation having been authorised last year. With a surplus of £75 from 1933, income tax reserve amounts to £271. LOWER BANK PROFITS. NATIONAL OF AUSTRALASIA. The accounts of the National Bank of Australasia, Limited, for the year ended March 31, disclose a net profit of £274,024, compared with £291,944 earned in the previous year, a reduction of £17,020, duo to a lower net interest return from funds invested. The profit earned represents approximately 3.2 per cent on total shareholders' funds, compared with 3.4 per cent in the previous year. With £147,895 brought forward, £421,919 is available for appropriation. The dividend for the year is 5 per cent, requiring £250,000. Bank premises account receives £20,000, leaving £151,919 to be carried forward. Following is a comparison of the bank's results for the last three yearn:— 1032. 1933. 1034.
