TEAM TO PLAY AUCKLAND. BLEND OF YOUTH AND EXPERIENCE. (By Telegraph.—Special to "Star.") OTAGO, this day. The Otago Soccer team to play Auckland on June' 16 for the Football Association Trophy, will be captained by Balk, with Mr. A. Sharp manager. The 6ole selector, Mr. J. Simpson, will also accompany the team. In announcing his tsam to the meeting of the association, Mr. Simpson said that he realised it would be a risk to select some of the younger and untried players, particularly in the back division. S. Duncan was an automatic selection, but was unable to travel, and his position was hard to fill. Four half-backs had been selected, but the twelfth man would not be announced till the day of the match. The team had more than a good chance of success. TOURS CANCELLED. N.Z. COUNCIL DECISION. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Tuesday.
