Mr. J. Fletcher goes South by the Limited to-night. Mr. E. C. Turner returned from the South by the Limited this morning. Captain C. Sinclair Thompson, second member of the Naval Board, is visiting Auckland. Mr. A. Grayson, president of the A.A., returned from Wellington by the Limited this morning. Mr. E. T. Spidv, superintendent of railway workshops, leaves for Wellington by the Limited to-night.* Mr. T. B. Gusscott, managing director of Messrs. J. R. McKenzie, Ltd., is at present visiting Auckland. Mr. E. Anderson leaves by the Limited to-night for Wellington to attend a meeting of directors of the Reserve Bank. Mr. S. Masdubost, general manager of M. Michelin and Co., Ltd., arrived from 'Wellington by the Limited this morning. Mr. J. C. Entrican, of Auckland, returned from Sydney by the Monowai, which arrived at Wellington yesterday. • Mr. R. Burridge, Crown solicitor at Masterton, and Mrs. Burridge intend to leave 011 June 7 011 a trip to China and Japan. Mr. G. R. Hutchinson returned by the Limited this morning from Wellington, where he has been attending a meeting of the New Zealand Broadcasting Board. Mr. T. B. Clay was re-elected chairman of the Auckland Harbour Board, and Mr. C. G. Macindoe, deputy chairman, at the meeting of the board yesterday afternoon. Mr. W. Allnutt, manager of tha Whakatane branch of the Union Bank of Australia for the past two years, lias been promoted to senior sub-inspector of the New Zealand division. He will be succeeded at Whakatane by Mr. J. B. Stewart, manager of the Fcilding branch.
