RETURN IN AUGUST.
ELLSWORTH AEROPLANE. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) DUNEDIN, Tuesday. "We are starting our .test flights again with the aeroplane to-morrow or the day after," writes Mr. Bernt Balchen, pilot of the Ellsworth Antarctic expedition, in a letter to a friend in Dunedin from California under date May 4. Mr. Balchen states that lie expects to be back in Dunedin with the aeroplane late in August.
"We are going to make some radio tests," the letter states, "and then I am going over to Chicago to pick up Mr. and Mrs.° Ellsworth, fly them out here and from here over to the east coast to have the floats of the machine tested. Later I am going to make a trip to Europe and then to New Zealand."
