THE RUAWARO MYSTERY—FIRST DAY O F TRIAL.—The trial of William Alfred Bayly, charged with the double murder of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Lakey, commenced at the Supreme Court before Mr. Justice Herdman this morning. A curious crowd is se en at the Court endeavouring to gel a glimpse of the prisoner, and, inset, -women making their way round to the women's gallery, which has not been used since the Munn trial in 1930.
