TOURING PLANS.
ADVICE FROM AUSTRALIA. CHATHAM CUP ENTRIES. " (By Telegraph. —l'ress Association.) WELLINGTON, this. clay. A letter from Mr. Druery, Secretary of the Australian Football Association, read at the meeting of the New Zealand Council last night, said there was no immediate prospect of a tour of Australia and New Zealand by an English and iSvottieh Association side. This was indicated by Mr. S. Stack, of New Soutli Wales, who had just returned from a visit to England. Mr. Druery says efforts are being made to induce the Football Association to send a schoolboy team to Auetralia. If such a tour eventuated, the Australian Association would endeavour to have New Zealand included in the itinerary.
It was reported to the meeting that IS entries had been received for the Chatham Cup, against 3(5 last year. The entries are: Northern and Maori Hill, of Glen Alton, Hamilton Wanderers, and Huntly United (South Auckland), Rangers and All Blacks (Bullev), Hospital, Petone, Marist, and Waterside (Wellington), Abels, Ponsonby. Thistle, and Y.M.C.A. (Auckland), Western, Thistle, and Technical Old Boys (Canterbury).
