SUB-LEAGUE FORMED AT TUAKAU

The secretary reported that an anonymous donor had offered for the stand fund a loan of £100 free of interest. The offer was accepted with thanks. It was decided to vote the sum of £2 2/ as a donation to, the New Zealand Swimming Association (Auckland Centre; towards the expenses of Noel Crump, the Auckland swimmer, at the Empire Games m London this year. .Mr. J. F. W. Dickson, in accepting a vice-patronship of the League, offered a special medal for the most sportsmanlike player in the third open grade. The award was left in the hands of the junior management.

On behalf of the newly-formed Rugby League in the Tuakau district, a subcommittee of the Auckland League, Messrs. C. Lewis and G. Aslier attended as a deputation, and reported that two local teams would play at Tuakau on Saturday. The establishment of the code had good support, and plenty of players were available. The ground was ready, and the prospects were bright for extension to other parts of the Franklin county. The speakers requested that a referee be 6ent to Tuakau for Saturday. This request was granted, and it was decided to present the new League with two sets of jerseys. Air.
