LEAGUE FOOTBALL.
PONSONBY UNITED CLUB.
There was a good attendance at the annual meeting of the Ponsonb.v United Rugby League Club. The lengthy 24tli report stated that despite misfortunes, the senior team, a very young side, had shown considerable promise late in the season under the capable coaching of ex-interna-tlonal F. Delgrosso. Representative honours were gained by R. Bright, with R. Mills as an emergency, and L. Stevens, L. Riley and L. Hutt were in the trials. Brian Riley won a medal for the most improved back and L. Hutt was honoured as the best forward. Financially the club suffered a working loss on the season, hut recently, from its credit building fund, had advanced on loan to tlie A.R.L. the sum of £ 150 to assist in the grandstand development scheme at Carlaw Park. Culpau and F. Ellis.
