LEAGUE FOOTBALL.
DEVONPORT UNITED CLUB
The annual mooting of the Devonport United Club, presided over by Mr. Arch. Ferguson, attracted an attendance of SO members and supporters, who expressed every contidencc In the outlook for the coming season. The report, which referred to the line performance of the seniors in again winning iho premiership and becoming champion of champions, also emphasised the success of the sixth grade team. The club was sound financially, having assets and cash amounting to £59, with no liabilities. Regret was expressed at tlio withdrawal from the executive of Mr. 11. Gerrard, an appreciative minute being recorded regarding his services. „ _ Oflicers elected: —Patron, Mr. A. W. D. Meiklejohn; vice-patron, Mr. .T. Donald; president, Mr. A. Ferguson ; vice-presidents, with power to add, wore re-elected; hon. secretary, Mr. A. H. Saxon ; treasurer, Mr. M. Coughlan ; club captain, Mr. F. Bolger; hon. auditor. Mr. J. Ford; committee, Messrs. 11. Mann, S. Wouldes, R. Casey, A. W. Seagar; school delegate, Mr. Postlewaite. Messrs. C. McSwoeney (Parnell) donated, a trophy to be used as. the club decided, and Mr. Wouldes one for the most improved senior player.
