MARIPOSA IN PORT.

VESSELS DUE SHORTLY.

Arrivals in the week-end promise a busy start on the waterfront next week. To-day the Mariposa is in port en route from America to Australia. Coptic and Fort Curtis leave soon for Wellington. The next liner from Sydney will be the Wanganella, on Tuesday morning.

Mariposa arrived at 7 o'clock this morning from Los Angeles and San Francisco, via Honolulu, Pago Pago and Suva. She is at. the Queen's wharf, and hails at 5 p.m. to-day for Sydney and Melbourne. She brought 455 bags of English and American mail; and is taking about 260 passengers from Auckland to Sydney. (H. and M.)

Surrey has radioed that she expects to arrive at noon to-morrow from Liverpool in ballast to load at Auckland, Opua, New Plymouth, Wellington, Dunedin and Bluff for London and west coast of Great Britain ports. (N.Z.S.)

Forthbank is expected to-morrow or on Sunday from Nauru Island with a full cargo of phosphates for discharge here. She will berth at ihe King's wharf. (H. and M.)

City of Canberra radios that she experts to arrive from New York at midnight on Sunday. She will berth at the Prince's wharf to commence discharge of her general cargo, the remainder of which is for Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin. (N.Z.S.)

Doric Star is scheduled to leave Wanganui this evening for Auckland, where she is due on Sunday for final loading for London. (Blue Star.)

Wanganella is expected on Tuesday morning from Sydney, and is to berth at the Prince's wharf to land passengers and mails. She is scheduled to sail the same afternoon on the return trip, to enable her to leave Sydney for an Easter excursion. (H.P.)

Monowai sailed yesterday for Sydney and Melbourne. There were more than 200 passengers aboard, in addition to mails and cargo. (U.S.S.)
