MERCHANT'S WILL.
COURT INTERPRETATION. ESTATE WORTH £9000. (By Telegraph. —Press Association.) CHRIS TCHURCiI, Thursday. An interpretation of the will of the late Fred. Sladen, a merchant, formerly of Christchurch, was sought in the Supreme Court this morning before Mr. Justice Johnston, -when an originating summons "was heard. Plaintiffs were Irving Wihitworth Sladen, of Christchurch, and John Joseph Dougall, solicitor, of Christchurch, the executors and trustees of the "will, and defendants were Sarah Sladen, widow, of Christchurch, Joseph Arthur Sladen, fruitgrower, of Nelson, Jessie Amelia Ramsay, of Auckland, Marion Evelyn Perkins, of Christchurch, Reginald Tawhiti Sladen, merchant, of Christchurch, and Mabel Marohi Seott, of Dannevirke. The estate was stated to be worth £9000, and plaintiffs placed before the Court certain questions for decision. After hearing argument his Honor said that, in his view, the annuity to the sister was terminated at her death. It ..was not a gift first of income and then,: a gift or capital.
