CRICKET.

FINAL SERIES OF GAMES.

FONSONBY TACKLE LEASERS. EDEN PLAYS AT DEVON PORT. The last lap of the race for 1933-34 cricket honours will start to-morrow. North Shore failed to take advantage of a good opportunity to defeat the previous champions, who last week gained a sixpointer over the Devoupprt side and -yvent to the top of the table. This puts Parnell on velvet, as that team's opponent for the final game is Ponsonby, the bottom cloven in tlio championship. It would bo a fine thing for the competition if Ponsonby could get into a commanding position, and keep the interest going until the series terminates on April 7.

Varsity, in second place, has drawn King's Old Boys (who have fared well Intel}-), the remaining engagement at Eden Park being Grafton v. Y.M.C.A. Eden, only two points behind Parnell, and one below 'Varsity, will not be unmindful of a surprise at headquarters when the side takes the field against North Shore, at Dovonport, to-morrow.
