SOCCER FOOTBALL.
NORTH SHORE UNITED. The North Shore United Football Club held its annual meeting at Anthony's tea rooms last night, Mr. P. C. Blenkarno presiding. There was a large attendance. Dr. McDougall, chairman of the control board, was present and congratulated the members on the success of the amalgamation of North Shore and Belmont. He recalled when ho played for Grafton many years ago against North Shore. He urged the members to play the game In. the spirit of true sportsmanship, for their club and the code. Tiie financial affairs of the club arc in a very healthy condition, and the prospects for the coming season were reported to be bright. The following committee was electcd :—Messrs. Blenkarne, Chapman, Dawson, Wynne, Walters, Hotchklss: treasurer, Mr. XV. Morris; lion, secretary, Mr. F. H. Stevenson.
