BENZINE EXPLODES.
CLOTHES CLEANING MISHAP.
While clothes were beinw cleaned with benzine near a gas ring in a kitchenette of a flat at 9, St. George's Bay Road, Parnell, this morning, the petrol exploded and started a fire. No one was injured. The flat is occupied by Mrs. Herman Fuller.
The Central and Parnell fire brigades answered the alarm at. 10.47. Chemical extinguishers were used and the fire was confined to the kitchenette, the only damage being to the walls. The block of flats in which the lire occurred is owned by Mr. C. J. Blakey, of Mount Eden.
