ON 'CHANGE.

NOT SO BRISK. WAIHIS' ADVANCE CHECKED. Business on the Auckland Stock Exchange is scarcely as brisk as it has been lately, yet a fair turnover was rccordcd over the last 24 hours. Waihis have failed to retain the full extent of tbo recent sharp rise, and at this morning's call a sale was recorded at £1 16/, which is a shilling below the peak figure realised on Tuesday. In the banking section New South Wales were easier, with sellers at ±.34 2/0. Commercials of Sydney were asked tor, with a buyer at £17 10/. Auckland Gas shares were a little firmer, and buyers bid £1 4/7, with holders steady at £15/. Dominion Picture shares were wanted, and buyers for the ordinary moved up to 11/, but there were no sellers. Noon Call. The noon call was not so brisk, either as yesterday's or as this morning's. Quotations show the market but little changed. Electrolytic Zinc, ordinary, showed a jump, the buying quotation moving from £1 0/ to £1 G/S, with holders steady at £1 7/. Buying and selling quotations for Colonial Sugars are unchanged after a sale at £0-4 10/. Auckland Gas are Id weaker. Buyers are £1 4/6, the same figure as two sales at the noon call. Holders are £1 5/.
