BRITAIN'S EXPECTATIONS. LONDON, March 15. Britain is expecting the most prosperous summer for years. Travel-agents predict that the number of visitors will far exceed last year's, 186,000, owing to improvement in economic conditions, and exchango favouring Americans and Europeans. Visitors will also be attracted by many international events, among which .cricket is prominent.

Shipping agents already report 10,000 passages booked in advance from Australia. Athletics, including the Empire Games and golf, are bringing thousands moro than usual. Social attractions, notably tlio Aldorshot tattoo, which aims at an attendance of 500,000, will be increased by several pageants, including the largest national pageant ever attempted to be staged at Runnymede. There will be 5000 performers. The work of making 40,000 costumes has already begun.
