AID SECRET SERVICE.
DE VALERA BUDGET CRITIC. (Received 1 p.m.) LONDON, March 20. Senator McLaucblin, criticising the Irish Free State estimates, pointed out that instead of President de Valera's promised savuig of £2,000,000, he has increased expenditure by £8,000,000, as compared with Mr. W. T. Cosgrave s last Budget. The most sinister increase was the jump of the Secret Service vote from £2000 to £25,000.
"If the Government exists only by subsidising Secret Service agents, its mandate is ended," he said.
