Reginald Collins, of Christchurch, is managing director. It is understood the capital of the company is £45,000, mostly subscribed bv South Island investors, but some by North Islanders with interests in the South Island. Mr. Collins said to-day that "Warner's Hotel was the first licensed property to bo acquired by Licensed Freeholds, Limited. The intention was to acquire other hotels in the main centres, but the company's first interests would be in the South Island. - HOWARD SMITH, LTD. Net profits of Howard Smith. Ltd., for the year 1033, at £47,168, show an improvement of £22.332, compared with the previous year. Alter a lapse of three years payment of ordinary dividend is resumed. It is proposed to distrioutc £30,000, equal to 1% per cent, and with preference dividend of £15,000 total distribution is £45.000, leaving £2168 to be added to £15,160 brought forward, so making £17,328 to be carried forward.
