CUSTOMS REVENUE DOWN.

SUVA, March 15

The revenue from Customs for the months of January and February is announced as £46,361, which is a decrease on the estimates of £4361. The Comptroller says that he expects this each year, as those months are usually poor importing ones. The revenue rises above the estimates later in the year. Import duties amounted to £41,304, exports to £2153, port and service tax to £2576, and export duties to £158,
