ANNUAL MEETING BUSINESS.

The annual meeting of the junior management committee of the Auckland Rugby League was held. last evening, Mr. D. The standard of play had been good, particularly in the second, third intermediate and fourth grades. J.here was considerably less judiciary business, and only three teams forfeited championship points for introducing ineligible players. The registration fees totalled £12 4/6 more than the previous season. Officers were elected for the following year by club vote, as follows:—Chairman, Mr. D. Wilkie; deputy chairman, Mr. L. Chapman; committee, Messrs. C. Howe, G Taylor, 1. Stones, T. Chernside, A. Hopkinson, F. Kennedy, B. H. Short. Mr. W. F. Clarke was nominated as secretary in succession to Mr. T. R. l)avis, with Mr. Chernside as assistant secretary. Mr. Wilkie was also appointed the management chairman. Referring with regret to the reeignar tion of Mr. Davis as junior secretary, which position he had filled for eight years, Mr. Wilkie said he felt eure that the splendid work of the retiring esteemed officer would be a beneficial influence and example for all time.. In the course of a general discussion on policy matters, the Otahuhu delegate carried a proposal to the junior management that a special meeting of clubs be held to reconsider the player registration fees for juniors.
