rOOTBAItLKR'S RETURN. The secretary of tho 2s civ lon Rangers Rugby League Football Club (Air. H. Wood) received a cablegram yesterday intimating that the famous New Zealand wing three-quarter, Roy Hardgrave, shortly will return to the Dominion and will play for his old club. Hardgrave, -who went to England with L. Ilutt (I'onsonby) and Trevor Hall, in 1929, to join the St. Helens Club, has completed his contracted term of play. In the Old Country he has performed wi.h distinction and just recently, the we llj known writer, G. F. Blackwell, observed ■ that the "New Zealand greyhound" was 1 still the greatest match-winner in the game. I i Since he went to England, Hardgrave. I who is 26 years of age, has developed < weight and lie is now list 71b. He is! married and has one child. The return of; the fast and dashing three-quarter of the ! i champion Auckland club of 1927 will give | great pleasure to Joeal followers of the I game and particularly to Newton. Rangers.
