OVERDUE.

AUCKLAND 'PLANE. FLIGHT TO SOUTH ISLAND. SEARCH Ilf PROGRESS. (Bj- Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) WELLINGTON", this day. Anxiety is felt for the safety of a Moth aeroplane, owned by the Auckland Aero Club and containing the president of the club, Mr. E. E. Boucher, and the secretary of the club, Mr. L. W. Swan, which left Rongotai aerodrome, Wellington. at 8.30 this morning for Nelson in continuation of a business flight to the South Island.

As the 'plane was not reported up to noon at Kelson it wee feared that a mishap had occurred and arrangements were made for a search. It was thought that the machine might have flown to another aerodrome, but so far as can be ascertained it is not either at Blenheim or Christchurcli, as machines have left both these places to search for the missing 'plane. There is a possibility that the Moth may have made a forced landing on one of the many beaches in the Sounds. Four machines havo commenced a search for the missing 'plane, one being from Rongatai, one from Blenheim, and two from Christchurch.

"NOT SIGHTED." INQUIRIES FRUITLESS. (By Telegraph.—fress Association.) BLENHEIM, this day. Telephonic inquires in all parts of the Marlborough Sounds failed to secure any news of the Moth aeroplane ZKAAL, piloted by Mr. E. E. Boucher, president of the Auckland Aero Club. The 'plane left Wellington for Nelson this morning and is reported missing. No settler has even sighted the machine.
