WAGES AND PROSPERITY.
Mr. A. S. Richards, M.P.. has made the best possible way out of an awkward corner, but as the ditl'ereivce in the reduced wages is available to tha suppliers to the dairy company, the purchasing power is "as you were.' The counter question is answered by a statement borne out by experience and confirmed by the figures of Mr. I'aweett- in a comprehensive survey over a large number of sheep and dairy farms 011 behalf of the Government; that ,is to say, a large majority of farmers were selling their products at unpayable prices even before the depression. 6. iPETRIK.
