MUNICIPAL CHOIR.
In tho past tho Auckland City Council has been most generous to the Municipal Choir, and the thanks of tho ninety-seven choir members and the people who attended the concerts is certainly due to the council. On tho other'hand, one wonders whether the sudden disbandmont by the council of the choir is not too drastic. I understand that a committee consisting of members of the former Municipal Choir have made a request to the council for the free use of the music, formerly used by the Municipal C-hoir,- al*o the Grafton Library Hall, and a small subsidy, and taking into consideration the excellent work done by the choir, the request made seems reasonable and should receive favourable consideration. I would sugg-cst that the council instruct tho now choir to organise a large massed choir for the Anzac Day services. PHILHARMONIC.
