Warts will disappear in a few weeks if castor oil is applied to them daily. Mud stains on silk umbrellas or rubber coats should be sponged off with vinegar. A drop or two of paraffin added to blacking will help to polish boots or shoes that have been soaked on a wet day. A slimy sponge may be made clean and fresh by soaking it in salt and water for several hours and then rinsing it first in lemon and water and then m clean water. Windows rubbed over with a paraffin rag will not attract the flics. This hint applies ali=o to electric light bulbs.
