A brilliant victory by the three-year-old filly Golden Hair in the Thompson Handicap was a feature of the racing at Trentliam to-day, when the Wellington Racing Club's autumn meeting was opened in line weather and on an excellent track. The winner was ridden by I\. Reed, who also rode Diatomous to victory in the Railway Handicap. There was a fair attendance, and the totalisator handled £24,311, compared with £25,994 on the first day last year, a decrease of £4652. Detailed results: — RIMU HIGH-WEIGHT, of £200.
