MORE CHILLED BEEF.
PAST EXPERIMENTAL STAGE, (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) MASTERTON, Friday. The third experimental shipment of chilled beef by Borthwick and Sons is now being prepared, and killing operations arc in progress at the Waiangawa works. The shipment will consist of 1200 hindquarters and will be taken by the Port Chalmers, which leaves Wellington on March 24. Mr. P. Borthwick said the shipments were slowly departing from the fundamental stage and approaching the point where a shipment of chilled beef from tlio Dominion could be regarded as a commercial proposition.
