LONDON WOOL SALES. A FIRM CLOSING. (Received 31 a.m.) LONDON, March 16. At the wool sales 58(30 bales were I offered, of which 5138 were from New i Zealand. About 5000 were sold. New t Zealand greasy cro'sbred, Waiheke, top j price 15% d, average 12% d: stipe half bred | lambs', WFM, 18d and 10% d. The sale I closed firm. Compared with February | closing, .Merino, broader-haired styles, ! were barely 5 p.c. lower, scoured fleece land bulky pieces unchanged. Short scoured i declined 5 per cent, carbonising wools 15, crossbred, tine, 5, medium and coarse 10, slipes, medium and coal's**, 5, tine unchanged. Of the total catalogued, of 70,390 bales, there were sold to home buyers 32.000, Continent 3-1,000, and held over 52,000. APPLES IN LONDON. MAT A R OA'S CARGO.
