ALL TRADE UNIONS. Austrian Government Decree Issued. FEDERATION OF WORKERS. IL'nited P.A.—Electric Telegraph—-Copyright) (Received in.,'lo a.m.) VIENNA, March 7. Tn accordance with a. Government decree, all trade unions will now be replaced by an organisation called the Workers' Federation, controlled by Herr Stunner, Ileimwchr Minister of Social Welfare, who will appoint a president and executive. The federation will lie subdivided into five branches, industry, commerce, trade, banking and professional. Workers' agreements concluded by tho federation will be binding on all workers and the trades concerned. The property and funds of flic dissolved unions will he vested in the federation, from which persons convicted of the slightest political offences will be excluded. EMPHATIC DENIAL. 111-Treatment of Socialists in Austria. BRITISH REPORT REFUTED. LONDON. March 7. Tho "News-Chronicle" publishes the Austrian Government's categorical denial of tho statement made by the paper's special investigator in Austria with reference to the torturing of political prisoners. The Government states that there arc no underground cells and that no brutalities have been perpetrated. The Ileimwchr troops have nothing to do with arrests or the custody of prisoners.
