DROVE ON WRONG SIDE. AN UNUSUAL "DEFENCE. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) WAIHI, Wednesday. An unusual'defence was raised in the Waihi Court to-day by a defendant charged with driving on the wrong side of the road. The defendant, Clarence Kennedy, who is the mail contractor between Waihi and the Waihi Beach, submitted that he was the King's servant as mail carrier, and as such had a right to the road.
