LEAGUE FOOTBALL.

SENIOR CLUB MEETINGS. The Auckland Rugby League Board of Control met last evening, Mr. G. Grey Campbell presiding over a full attendance. A member of the trustees, Mr. E. J. Phelan, also was present. It was recommended, as an outcome of a .letter from the Ponsonby Club, that the nomination of members of the junior management be postponed until March 13, and that all senior clubs be requested to hold their meetings before the date mentioned. Air. D. Wilkic announced that Mr. T. Davis, who has given conspicuous service to the code as secretary of the junior management branch for the past eight years, had given notice of his intention to resign. It was proposed that Mr. Davis be elected a life member of the Auckland liugby League, an honour so far conferred on only seven officers. Arising out of the nomination, it was decided that it be a ■rule that in the case of life members proposed, a fortnight's notice of motion be given. The Newton Rangers Club was granted use of the boardroom for its annual meeting. The board considered at length recommendations'brought. down by special conferences held by the senior and junior delegates with the respective managements at the end of last year. Mr. Grey Campbell was wished a happy and successful trip to Australia, where, in addition to a conference call, he will meet the Rugby League authorities.
