HIT BY BOOMERANG.
AMERICAN TOURIST INJURED. Mr. Jay Douglas, an American tourist who arrived in Sydney by the liner Llirline, will have unpleasant memories of his introduction to the Australian aborigines. He was one of a party which" visited the settlement of La Perouse. The aborigines gave exhibitions of boomerang throwing, which were appreciated bv the tourists, until one boomerang travelled in a wide circle and struck .Mr. Douglas oil the back of the head. Me was taken to the (.'oast Hospital, where a doctor inserted two stitches in a wound near ail car.
