AUCKLAND CLUB.
FORMATION IN DUNEDIN. SPIRIT OF FELLOWSHIP. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) DUNEDIN, this day. At a large meeting of former Aucklanders it was decided to form an Auckland Club. The principal objects of the club will be to foster and promote a spirit of good fellowship among ex-Aucklanders resident in Otago, to provide social entertainment for its members, to have lectures, etc., on world topics, to hold social evenings during the winter months, play readings and concerts during the year, and to entertain Aucklanders who visit Dunedin. The following office-bearers were elected:—Patron, the Mayor of Auckland (Mr. G. W. Hutchison); vicepatron, the Mayor of Dunedin (the Rev. E. T. Cox); president, Mr. T. J. KirkBurnand; vice-presidents, Messrs. E. Griffins and H. 11. Osborne; treasurer, Mr. R. A. Malone; secretary, Sir. E. N. Bennett; committee, Messrs. J. Letcher, K. D. Willis, H. 11. Powell, O. Richardson, A. J. H. Jeavons, D. R. Dennis and J. Sinton.
