WIDOW'S CLAIM.
x DAMAGES AWARDED. CHILDREN TO BENEFIT. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) THAMES, Thursday. A claim of £850 damages and £31 10/ costs against the Kuranui Golden Hills Co., Ltd., was finalised in the Magistrate's Court yesterday, before Mr. F. W. Platts, S.M. Plaintiff was Alma Eunice Connelly, widow of Athol John George Connelly, who was killed as the result of a fall' at the company's low grade treatment plant on October 10 last. An agreement was arrived at between the parties and judgment was entered for the plaintiff. After costs and funeral expenses have been disbursed, the balance of the money is to be paid to the Public Trustee. One-third is to be held and applied on behalf of Mrs. Connelly, and the remaining two-thirds applied as the Public Trustee thinks fit for the maintenance and education of tlie deceased's two children.
