TRIALS AT TE AROHA. Gay Rose and King Mestor. (By Telegraph.—Spcci.°.i to "Star.") TE AROHA, this day. There was a large attendance of spectators at the course this morning. On the outside of the course proper, on which the treaties were 50ft out, Royal Secret ran three iurlougs in 425, and Mungatoon (Tremain) defeated Beryl Latour (Keesing) by a length over a mile in 1.45. Ou the inner grass track Don't Lap got to the end of a mile in 1.50, but could have done better, and L'aoco had an advantage over Val Watch at the end of seven furlongs in 1.38. Lagoon and Mungacre skipped over six furlongs in 1.15 2-5, the former scoring by a length. King's Archer (,(J. K. Mallowes) and Tin Lap (Tremain) were associated over five furlongs, the former prevailing by over a length in 1.3. King Mestor started from the seven-furlong post, being picked up by Mr. Whitten's Lapidary gelding at the live, and beat him home comfortably in 1.29 2-5. Trishna did half pace over a round, sprinting three furlongs at the back of the course in 41s. l'elagia was no good to Gay Rose over four furlongs in 49 2-ss. The arrivals this morning were: J. Fryer with Gibraltar, Rollovant, Chief Line, Oriel and Stanchion; C. Jackson with Aga Khan and Diagono; T. Fryer with Taitoro; R. Johnson with Arvada, and J. Brown with Carfcx. King March, Saltspray and Brown Abbey are clue to arrive this afternoon.
