BOYS HANDICAPPED.
APPRENTICE SYSTEM. URGENT NEED OF CHANGE. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) DUNEDIN, this day. The Builders' Federation conference discussed the following Wellington remit: "That consideration be given to the serious position existing as a result of the present apprenticeship laws, which were making it difficult, and in some cases impossible, for employers to engage apprentices; further, that the necessary steps be taken to overcome the difficulty." The meeting decided to reaffirm the remit uring the adoption of the Apprenticeship Act.
