SHIPPING NEWS.

MONTEREY DUE TO-MORROW, MATAKAKA ON SATURDAY. The Monowai was scheduled to sail for Sydney at 3 p.m. to-day. and is tc be followed to-morro'v by the Monterey, which is due from Sail Francisco. On Saturday the Veronica and Nogoya leave for England and the franconia ' for Wellington. The wharves will be comparatively empty over the weekend. Monterey is due from San Francisco to-morrow morning at 7 o'clock, and is to berth at the Queen's wharf. She sails at 5 p.m. to-morrow in continuation of her voyage to Sydney and Melbourne. (H. and M.) Monowai was to sail at 3 p.m. to-day for Sydney with passengers, mails and cargo. She goes thence to Melbourne, and back to Sydney, sailing for Wellington on March 2. (U.S.S.) Rangitiki, at present discharging at the Central wharf, is to commence loading to-morrow for the return voyage to London. (N.Z.S.) Opawa is expected to leave New Plymouth to-morrow for Auckland, wh?ro she loads for London and west coast ports of Great Britain. She completes her cargo at Wellington and Napier. (N.Z.S.) Port Whangarei is loading at the Central wharf, and is to be dispatched at 5 p.m. to-morrow for Wellington and South Island ports. (N.S.S.) Magdalene Vinnen docked this morning for cleaning and painting, and goes to the Western wharf to-morrow morning to take on oil fuel for her auxiliaries.
