NO SETTLEMENT.
TAILORESSES' DISPUTE. Xn settlement lias been reached in connection with the Auckland tailoresses' dispute, which was considered in conciliation council. The Auckland tailoresses and other female clothing trade employees, the shirt, silk and white workers, and the shop tailoresses sought their old conditions and asked that the apprentice clause should be left in. The employees' representatives were not successful in getting the employers' representatives to refer the matter: to the Arbitration Court. It is possible that a further meeting will be held.
