The following rural district councils have achieved results which encourage many to hope that the time is coming when the housing of agricultural labourers will be permanently improved. The building prices have been as lo.w as £249 in Newmarket for a cottage, containing a living room, [scullery, bathroom and three bedrooms, of 700 square feet super area. Another economical jbouse has been built in Cambridgeshire. It is 'an adaptation of the Ministry of Health rural cottage plan, arid provides for a living room, Iscullery, bathroom, pantry, fuel store, and I three bedrooms.
